email: thatguy_78757@yahoo.com When I was a kid I would memorize and act out my older brothers comedy albums. I could do most of Bill Cosby's "Why is there air?", "Bill Cosby Is A Very Funny Fellow Right!" "Revenge" and "Wonderfulness" records entirely by heart. I can sill do "God and Noah" verbatim for you if you want.
I also loved the Abbot and Costello movies that would play on TV on Saturday afternoons, and would drive my teachers insane by constantly doing my impersonation of Curly Howard in class.
I then got into Robin Williams, Woody Allen, Steven Wright and George Carlin. I would entertain my friends with these memorized routines and would often fantasize about being a comedian when I grew up. I also fantasized about being a comic book artist and filmmaker. I majored in film in college and have been doing video work and graphics since I graduated- but I didn't get the nerve to try stand up comedy until my 30th Birthday. When I turned 30 I made a list of things I always said I was going to do when I grew up, and figured 30 is about as grown up as one can get.
I first tried open mike at Austin's legendary Wednesday night Open Mike at Capitol City Comedy Club. It was an exhausting, embarrassing gut wrenching experience- and just one step down a long, painful but ultimately rewarding road
I've competed in the funniest person in Austin contest and have performed at The Velveeta Room, Houston's Laff Stop, San Antonio's Rivercenter Comedy club, The Funny Bone in Dayton Ohio and The in Columbus, Ohio. My style ranges from political to what I call "modern vaudeville"
