Stand Up Comedy, Austin, Texas

One of my hobbies for the past 2 years is throwing myself to the wolves at open mike comedy shows. Here's some images of the talented folks on the Austin comedy scene.

If I've learned one thing, being a "funny person" and being a "good comedian" is NOT the same thing!

It's been an embarrassing, gut-wrenching experience, but I think I'm improving and finally "coming into my own."

Fred B- the movie?

My skin graft surgery provided comedians like JC Shakespeare with a motherload of comic fodder.

Compare this shot of me with the ones at the top of the page.

This was taken while I shot "Blood, Sweat and Teeth," a few months before my hair transplant.

Trey Galyon at the " Capitol Offenders" gig, 1998 .

Pam Rose entertains an AIDS benefit with jokes about drunken unprotected sex with minors.

Tran-gelica, Man-gelica, or.... Richard. Theres many names but only one "Angelica"

This is, of course the cover of my best selling comedy CD, "The Book of Matthew"

The smart money says Rex doesn't even remember doing this!

Marc McGuires Ball. A source of inspiration.

Austin Comedy fans! Look at this highlighted picture awhile and then click on it! You won't BELIEVE who it is!

Heh Hehhh! Andrew Deans gets no p***y!!!

But he did get some VERY big laughs at the 2001 Valentines Day Massacre (Bad Dog Theater)

This is the funniest thing I've ever seen him come up with.

All in the Family
Boy the way Glen Miller played
Songs that made the hit parade.
Guys like us we had it made,
Those were the days.
And you knew who you were then,
Girls were girls and men were men,
Mister we could use a man
Like Herbert Hoover again.
Didn't need no welfare state,
Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee our old LaSalle ran great.
Those were the days.

Funniest person in Austin 2004, Round One
